The works explore the superficial and authentic emotionality of humans and animals through observation, mythological or religious references and imagination. Energy found in pain and anger are shown in animal form, foxes, coyotes, wolves, winged bulls and lions across desolate, abstracted landscapes. My fluid approach to art-making embraces contrasts: textured surfaces of color emerge from detailed and precise layering, hinting at the raw psychological underpinnings embedded within these emotionally charged portraits and landscapes.
