Artist statement by Charlene Murphy:

The artwork collection “Wait“ depicts the need to be with someone out of fear of being alone.

”Wait for Me"  - Baby Dragon with separation issues

"Stood Up" - How someone feels when promises are broken

"Leaving So Soon" - High Expectations, disappointment ensues from one - This is the conflict created by such an act

Each piece is a representation of how at times we become so desperate and afraid to be alone, we become our own worse enemy. 

Art Statement by Christian McCulloch:

Marker pens are unforgiving, hostile and inflexible. They're rarely sociable, preferring to be in your face, shouting their presence. There's no place for timidity when creating artwork with marker pens. The trick is to train as a guerrilla fighter; attack with complete assurance, scrub around until the image is wrestled to the ground.
