Editorial Critique / Fiction or Creative Nonfiction up to 3.5K Words
General Guidelines: Submit one fiction or creative nonfiction piece, a maximum of 3,500 words in a Word document via email to Ariel.Publishing.LLC@gmail.com. Please format your submission double-spaced and include a word count. In the top header please add the title and page numbers. Use 12 Times New Romans fonts.
To Clarify: The fee is for an editorial critique (a service) provided to the submitter of his or her work and not a fee to publish the work. Ariel Publishing, LLC, will provide a detailed editorial critique about the strenghts of the work and will point out where revisions are needed. This critique may or may not include line edits. An overall critique of the work is a guarantee along with suggestions for improvements. Checkout the testimonials we shared about how valuable our critique proves to be for our submitters.
Editorial Critique
Include a cover sheet in your document with your name, address, and contact information (e-mail)
The feedback will include consideration of the following:
What is the premise/theme of the narrative?
How does the narrative engage the reader?
Is the premise/theme developed to the fullest extent?
Is the narrator authentic?
Does the tone and mood enhance the narrative? Detract from it?
What are the narrative’s strengths?
What are the narrative's weaknesses?
How is the technical aspect of the writing? We'll provide line edits.
If you wish, you can submit multiple times in separate submissions.
