To the mothers whose knees go far into the future Walking and speaking into existence, a far fetched realities for their kids Dividing the ocean of life and paddling across with their kids on their backs To the mothers who carry the load of life on their heads, the pains of the kicking baby And the excruciating cry while giving life to yet another human To the mothers Whose realities we now live in, who had seen the future from afar That though it seems like we win now, their bruised knees paved the way Releasing words of blessings, breaking the odds of life That the favor of the earth be upon their kids Even though it hurts their faces bore no evil To the mothers Whose love we now live in Who blesses and called us blessed Never a hand against our skin, not a single utter of a word in anger But just a bended knee in prayers Dear mothers, we love you.
